Hi, I’m Tara Joy — graphic designer, illustrator, and the creative heart behind my one-woman design studio. I work with passionate entrepreneurs, artists, authors, and soul-led small businesses to bring their visions to life through thoughtful brand identity, intentional website design, and beautiful print materials.

Design, for me, is more than making things look good (though I do love a good color palette!) — it’s about helping you build trust, show up confidently, and share your magic in a way that feels authentic and aligned. Diploma in Graphic Design (Honours), Nova Scotia Community College, 2014

I bring a strong foundation in both print and web design, shaped by over a decade of hands-on experience across editorial, software, and agency environments. From 2016 to 2018, I worked in print design at The Coast, creating editorial layouts and production-ready publication designs under tight deadlines. Earlier in my career, I spent several years at Medusa Medical Technologies (now ESO) as a software tester and technical writer, where I developed a strong understanding of usability, clarity, and complex systems. This technical background, combined with my web design experience at Media Mechanics from 2015 to 2016, allows me to design websites that are both visually thoughtful and functionally sound.
